Dumb question but if you already had a large amount of cheaper ammo (like wolf) is it possible to pull the bullets and replace them with 77gr SMK? Edited by Refleks

Dumb question but if you already had a large amount of cheaper ammo (like wolf) is it possible to pull the bullets and replace them with 77gr SMK?

Once you pull the bullets, you can reassemble the primed brass with anything that is designed for the caliber.

**however** the powder loading *must* be of correct type and quantity for the projectile, and the projectile must be seated to the proper depth.

In other words, it is normal and standard reloading recipes and practices found in established data for the caliber (doubtful that you would be able to use the Wolf OEM powder).

In practice, just buy the separate components in the first place.  It's cheaper & easier.

To get more specific in answering your question, in what caliber would you want to run the 77gr SMK?
