We will be moving to Tennessee shortly just as soon as the house sells.  I will begin training so I will be legally a resident of my home state untl the house sells.  I believe I can use my LTCH for 6 months after establishing residency.  So it appears I am good to go while transistioning and going back in forth.  Also can some one please tell me if I can avoid the state mandated course with a CG-3029

Thanks every one looking forward to getting here.

Welcome. TCA 39-17-1351 covers Military Training exceptions for the 8 hour training course. This should shed some light on it, although someone on here may chime in with an answer.

Normally your score sheet with a letter from your CO stating you have received XX hours of handgun training on letter head will suffice for the

class room/shooting portion of your application.

Not to be the downer here, but the class covers the particulars of the laws in TN. I don't suggest skipping it.
