although 55-110 is a little hard to come by these days, I've shot a couple of elk and a moose with my 86 built in 1892.... but I've not shot it in about 10 years... due mostly to ammo constraints, but partly because it's not much of a target gun and I have spent more time in the last decade hunting with may 1948 vintage Model 70 with a 1962 vintage .264wm barrel (it was originally a .270)

Shipped from the factory November 22, 1892 with "Grade 2 wood, German Silver Cap and Octigon Barrel/FOB Browning Brothers, Ogden Utah". I displayed it a few years ago on my table at the Reno Show and Doug Turnbull offered me $14,000 for it. I turned him down. Belonged to Grandpa, you see? Priceless to me.

Now for an offer above $20,000, we could start a conversation... (Heck, Gramps would understand)

Wow, that's a helluva lever gun right there. All my grampa left me was a lever .22 and a couple shotguns. although the shotguns are really nice hough, so i gues it's okay. but yeah, nice rifle.
