Christmas Gift Ideas

OK, I figure it is time for this post.

I am sure there are enough of us procrastinators to warrant this post.

My idea is if some of us, post items we have brought to give as gifts, it might spark ideas for those that are still shopping.  BTW, I am still shopping.  Probably look though the follow up posts for ideas for my wife.

So far, I have brought a

Keurig Coffee maker for my wifes Granny.

Samsung BD-F5700 Wi-Fi Blu-Ray Player (Black)

A 3 month subscription to Netflix streaming to go with it. (only 3 months as I am concerned how their internet service will handle it.  They have broadband but is have been iffy over the years.)

For my wife (still in trouble here)

Every year we almost always trade gifts with her parents and come home and have Christmas for ourselves mid Jan.  My wife has always excepted that I normally do holidays with her after the fact.  This dates back to when we where dating and I took her to a very nice restaurant that turned in to a nightmare of service.

Thankfully for me, all of my family (with the exception of my daughter) lives at least 500 miles away, so I only have to buy for my daughter and my girlfriend. I got my girlfriend a remote start for her car, and I'm still debating on whether or not my daughter deserves anything.

Wife: gift card for maid service

Mother: gift card for TPAC, probably some gift basket of misc "smell good" type of things (the wife handles this)

Friend 1: Lowe's gift card and some Caribbean Cask Belvenie scotch

Friend 2: unclear at this point, we usually just go to the stores and find something we want and buy it while each other is there

For my father and brother I can't say because they are active members of the forum

Easy for me this year. Inlaws--Keurig setup and DVDs

Wife----Keurig and I yearsupply of assorted Hot cholate cups

                                    B-i-l----Haven't a clue yet.

We pretty much do immediate family only, as were are all old and fussy and hate gag gifts.

As a sales person in an electronics store. I see the bigger demand for tablets( ipad/samsung galaxy?ETC...) Bluetooth speakers and Beats(headphones) well any higher quality headphones in general. Those are what we've sold the most of besides TV's of course. Everyone wants the "beats" headphones but at $199 a pop some parents are questioning that purchase.
