New(er) gun shop in Alcoa

I heard a commercial this morning on the way to work about a gun store in Alcoa. New Bern Arms. Turns out, it is right up the road from my work in the same industrial park. It sits right behind West Chevrolet. Odd place for a gun store. In an industrial park with no major road frontage and no signs. I stopped in there on my way home and was pleasantly surprised. It is a very small store but they make the most out of the space they have. Pretty good selection of firearms. I counted over 120 handguns on display from all the big mfg's. Maybe 50-60 long guns. Several tactical shotguns and several AR platform rifles.Pretty busy too for such a small out of the way shop. Didn't get a chance to really look over their prices to see how they compared. They even had some .22 LR ammo in stock. So far from just a quick in and out visit, it seemed like a good shop. I'll stop back by next week when I have more time. If anyone else has been there please give us your feedback. They said they just opened up in September. No web sight yet but they do have a Facebook page. Check it out.

My office is about a mile from there, I drive through that industrial park everyday but did not know it was there. I will have to check it out.

I think they are in the old Motorola Communications building from what the map pulled up. Thanks for posting this.

I'll talk a bit out of school here.  New Bern does have a good assortment of firearms with reasonable enough prices, but make certain before you walk out it's what you wanted.  My buddy asked for the .40 cal Hi-Point carbine which was marked on display.  They did the paperwork and the money changed hands.  When he got home he found out it was a .45 ACP.  He returned it unfired to the store and they wouldn't give him full credit.  They ordered a .40 for him, which came in a couple of weeks.  So the owner made three profits--one on the original sale, one on the re-order and another when the first gun was re-sold.  I've heard of "Let the buyer beware," but the store should be just as careful on a gun sale.  JMO.
