Picked up this RIA 1911 from MacGyver and the WC parts came in today. I replaced all the springs and the firing pin and the extractor. Next on the list is the hammer, sear, and trigger. Enjoy

May I ask why you are replacing the parts?

I'm curious too. I bought a commander size Rock G.I. last September. I replaced the smooth , fat grips with some inexpensive Houge slim rubber and the G.I sights because I couldn't see them. ( They are tiny) I've put 500 rounds through it without any type of failure. There is no need to replace parts on a RIA if it works. Unless you just wanna spend $$$

I am also curious as to why you are replacing parts. I have two RIA 1911 GI's in 9mm and have had zero issues. The only parts I will replace is the recoil springs when needed.

Yeah, I swapped the sights and grips, but everything else is satisfactory to my standards.
