Ever heard of being registered as a marksman in HC, class?

I was at a neighborhood watch meeting last night and a fellow who lives the next street over from me said when he took his handgun permit class the instructor told him he was going to have to register this guy as a "marksman" because he had all of his shots in the kill zone.

Have any of you ever heard of such a thing?

When I heard him say this my first thought was BS, but I could be wrong. Another reason I did not much believe him was he also said he had his "handgun carry badge" stolen out of his truck.

I think maybe the instructor was just kidding, kind of saying "Hey, you're a good shot, we'll have to register you as a marksman!" and your guy took it seriously.

I tend to err on the side of safety and just assume that people who tell me stories like this are full of **** and think that I'm gullible enough to believe them. Which then makes me mad because I take it as a personal affront.

But Molon's probably right. The guy's instructor made a joke and this dipwad didn't understand.

Either way, I suggest you beat him with a short length of garden hose the next time you see him.

No, you were awarded Special Super Secret Agent rating which is NOT for public information. It is such a high level and special designation that the recipient isn't even aware of it. just tell him that Chuck norris was your HCP instructor, so you have your HCP, but are still waiting on your arm and leg carry permits...

When I took the carry class our instructor said he quit counting holes when he got to the minimum requirement. Makes sense to me.

But I agree, I think the guy was making a joke he didn't get.
