Carrying ammo in a gunshow

If I carried a gun to the Bill Goodman's Gunshow tomorrow to possibly sell is it alright to carry some ammo in as well? I've never tried or even thought about it. If not is it cool to give it to them in the parking lot as long as they pay inside? It goes with the gun to sweeten the deal. My only ammo transactions at a gun show have been buying from vendors.

I took some ammo into the Knoxville gun show along with a couple of pistols, the policeman put zip ties on my pistols and looked at the ammo and said "go on in"

The gun shows in Memphis won't let you carry any ammo into the show...you have to check an unloaded firearm at the door...

Don't carry it in your firearm and you'll be good to go, unless they've changed the rules recently.

How much ammo? I wouldn't want to pack around a lot of it for very long.

It's about 400 rounds. I really don't want to lug it around but I didn't know if anyone would say anything if they saw me give a buyer the ammo in the parking lot.

I wouldn't sweat it. I'd be more inclined to walk around with a sign describing the ammo and price rather than 400 rounds. Unless it's 22lr, it'll get heavy pretty quick.

There's nothing legally special about being inside a building called a "gun show" or not. At worst, selling ammo in the parking lot might irritate a show promoter who could think you're just trying to skirt paying entry to his show. Even then, the most they could do is ask you to leave, and they normally have bigger fish to fry. If you've bought admission and just don't feel like carrying around a bunch of ammo (I wouldn't), I don't think anyone will care a bit. Edited by 56FordGuy

When I'm looking to purchase ammo, I generally stow it in a backpack so I don't have to tote it around the show by hand. I've also brought multiple pistols with me in the same way - cased and in a pack. Don't see why bringing ammo would be much different.
