Chuck Swan question

I have a quota hunt in Chuck Swan State Forest today and tomorrow.. I couldn't get out today. Looking for hunters experienced in this park. Is there any advice that someone could give regarding good areas to set up?

I will not be using a tree stand. Will be either moving or setting up a nice overlook spot somewhere.
Park contact person informed me that there will be @100 vehicles in line when gates open at 6am. Sun comes up a little after 7, and I'd like to have an idea of where to head.

Open for suggestions.

30-06 if you're wondering..

Best of luck. I drew that hunt once and just went home after seeing the set up. If I were you, I would just go as far from the crowd as possible.

Thats exactly my plan. Just wondering who knew where the "horde" would go to, if there is a prominent area.

I figure that I will travel in the fewest amount of tire tracks that I see. The path least traveled untuil there's very few tire ruts. Then, i'll get out and hoof it for quite a ways...

You need to be parked in front of the gate at 3am to beat the crowd.  Seriously.

I will send a PM.

find a spot, sit down and dont move.  The deer will be forced up and moving by the rush of activity.  no better chance moveing than just staying still, plus you might not get shot
