Just got my TGO lower today. Swapped the lower parts from an Omni plastic fantastic that my pistol was using and voilà:

And btw, folks, I just use a paper clip to remove pivot pin, can start a new one with just fingernail or tiny screwdriver on the detente.

Have lost track of where I've posted what. That above turned into this now:

Finally, after months of gathering parts, my TGO build is complete...well nearly, need a better scope.

It is a 6.5 Grendel with a 20" Shilen Barrel (threaded by Law Enforcement Sales, Thanks Mike!) on the TGO upper and lower.  Rock River 2 stage NM Trigger, Magpul PRS, Harris Bipod, Ergo Grip, Burris PEPR mount and a junky BSA 6-24x44 Scope, which works ok.  I just got it all together last week, and took it to the John Sevier Range in Halls on Sunday.  Just shooting a 100 yards off the bipod, but I'm thrilled!  I think it is a keeper.  I was shooting the factory Hornaday 123 A Max load.

The upper left 3 shot group was while I was sighting it in, then the 5 shot group in the bullseye was immediately after that.  The single hole in the TWRA logo was the last round of the day.  I was just trying to hit the circle.  I don't think I am capable of shooting much better than that.  I think the rifle is better than me!

Lol, I can't do it when it counts. But thanks! I love this caliber. Its so easy to shoot well.

At 100 yards, the shooting well part is more about that Shilen match barrel than it is about the caliber. I have that same barrel, and looking forward to shooting it. Don't hate on that scope too much. It's way better than the money you paid for it. You will be able to see your target as far as the Grendel will shoot. I've shot with that same scope at 880 yards, and saw every one of my misses :)

After what seemed like forever but was actually about 3 months, the barrel came in. Got it all put together a couple of days ago but left the stock at work. Finally it's all in one piece. Sorry (not much) about the image size.

Now I have almost all the pieces to make another AR and so it begins again...

So I'll bring this thread back from the dead...   Mine is finally done.  Well, sort of.   :)   Took rather a while to collect all the pieces, but I'm glad I was picky and got exactly what I wanted.

TGO CMT billet lower

PSA LPK

PSA 16" midlength complete upper, BCG and charging handle included

Magpul MOE handguard (bought from someone here)

PSA flip-up rear sight

Cavalry Arms C1 fixed stock

Primary Arms red dot and mount (bought from someone here)

This is my first AR.  :woohoo:

Building it was pretty darn easy.  I just followed the videos that OS posted and while I did sent a detent flying once or twice, thankfully it didn't go far.

The storage compartment in the stock is cavernous!  I can easily fit two 10 rd stripper clips in it.  I think I could squeeze 3 in there if I really wanted to.  I plan to get a Hogue pistol grip for it and when I swap that, I'll put the correct selector detent spring in this time (oops...  ) and adjust the set screw to snug up the fit between the lower and upper.

Thanks to all who posted the many helpful hints on how to build it.  :hat:

When I did the big unveiling for my wife.... she said, "Cool!  When do I get to shoot it?"  Right after I do, dear.  Right after I do.  :)

Mine is still waiting on the perfect idea. Not sure what I'm going to do yet at all. It was going to be my 300 blk but even thoughive got some pretty good parts set aside for it I think I'm going to just build it on a PSA set I have floating around. I want the TGO to be a really special rifle.
