Regarding Doe Run smelting plant closure, an idea.

I looked up Doe Run. I found one e-mail address for an Alicia Ritter, regarding tour information. I just sent her this in an e-mail. Perhaps if she gets enough positive input from enough people, we can do something.

alritter@doerun.com

Ms. Ritter:

This is not about a tour. This is about an idea.

The facility needs 100 million to upgrade. There are enough gun owners in this country that if everyone sent in $10-20, you would have the upgrade funds in no time.

I'm sure you have contact with a marketing firm that can help you pull this together in an efficient, timely, and proper manner.

The EPA can go to hell. This can, and MUST, be done.

I hope you seriously consider the suggestion.

Kindest regards and blessings,

Michael Douchette

A good plan, and I'm sure many of us would happily contribute. But overseeing the received donations, and verifying their correct use could be problematic.

That being said...I'd go for it.

State legislators are starting a committee to see if they can get a smelting, brass mfr and powder company to come to TN even if they are international companies because of this closure
