If you notice, the very first sentence of this article is just about the whole problem with them. If you have a winning issue,

don't go looking for help from the national leadership. Karl Rove et al must be really trying to kill the party. This isn't the

first time it has failed. From the Tea Party forward, just about everything this party has been doing this.

If a physician, running for office, dares to use Obamacare as a platform to beat an incumbent, and the national bunch

says not to, they are against their own party. I fail to see the logic. Sen. Mary Landrieux of Louisiana got bribed to cast

her vote(Louisiana Purchase). That should be a good issue if one is squarely against, much less a majority of the

American public. They pick less than desirable candidates for offices and they expect to have a winning party?

Well ... either the national GOP establishment lacks logic, or they're operating under a completely different paradigm.  I think it's the latter, where pragmatism trumps principal.  But you're right - even Rove-like pragmatism doesn't explain why they wouldn't run the issue hard against Mrs. Landrieux.

 

It will probably be another election cycle where we conservatives must choose between a compromised candidate - whom the Establishment GOP gets behind - and principal, whom the Establishment & media label as radical.  If being radical means putting Lamar into retirement, count me in.

The GOP is all about maintaining their good ole boy system. They know who they can count on to take bribes - AKA pork barrel projects - in order to do their bidding and they are not about to give up a known quantity for someone who is campaigning on the principle of bucking the system. Time and again we see them get behind the RINOs like the ones we have here in favor of truly conservative/constitutionally-minded candidates for this exact reason. Sorry boys, but the Dems and the GOP have become two sides of the very same coin. The only difference between the parties now is whether they give it to you missionary or in some other, more freaky position.

not going to happen. Remember RINOs or Neo- Cons are Liberals that left the Democrap Party to infiltrate and bring the GOP

This is only a guess on my part but I suspect that their "logic" about not making Obamacare the main issue is because the establishment Republicans don't want to have to deal with Obamacare any more...they just want to accept Obamacare as a fact of life so they can get on with what is really important to them...enjoying being part of the elite ruling class!

 

If a lot of Republicans get elected next year based on the promise of stripping away Obamacare then these elite Republicans will be forced to deal with the issue again.

Unless the king delays the law again, next year is when it hits the fan for employers/small businesses. Those folks who haven't been affected will be next year.

He may have already, I believe there has been talk of this, shoving it past the elections but I'm not sure if it's definite.

 

I doubt that we will have a rebellion here in the states like they did in the UK though, I think once the gov takes our choice of healthcare away completely and they start going after our 401K's, maybe, just maybe people will pissed enough to stand up about it....maybe.

We can try our best to rebuild the Republican Party ourselves by getting rid of folks like Alexander and Corker. 2014 will be the first election I take part in, and I'm putting my support behind Mr. Joe Carr... we have a chance, guys. Gotta make it count. If Carr can win here in TN, then that gives a boost to non-RINOs across the nation, and it all goes on...

It's how Texas got Ted Cruz. Mike Lee got in the same way. There are several others no one seems to remember.

 

Lagerhead, if we got rid of Lamar in Tennessee, don't you think that would go quite a way towards changing the attitude you, I

and others share? If Cruz could do it in Texas, why not Carr in Tennessee? A movement building against the GOP is a solid first

step of many.
