Amazon delivering with drones

Hmmm.... a new prank involving a shotgun could be born from this as well. What a tempting aerial target!

"Sorry officer, I thought it was aliens invading my personal air space."

What could go wrong with little flying robots continuously flying around yards houses and people's porches? Fabulous idea. Not.

I'm wondering how they get the little plastic containers back???  Maybe they just don't and consider that part of the packaging cost. ;)

I think we should go back to phuumatic tubes like all the big department stores used to have...we could have a delivery and a return tube in every home and building in America and wouldn't endanger air space.

Of course they would have to be big enough in diameter to accommodate a reasonable sized package. LOL

Sounds like a good idea but what about privacy? I'm sure they'll use GPS but they still need a way to see tree limbs, power lines and you don't want one landing on your head while you're mowing the grass.

I live less than a mile from the fulfillment center in Murfreesboro. So does this mean no more "clothing optional" dips in the hot tub for me and my gal?

And what if the NSA decides to hack into the camera feed to see what you're doing in your backyard?

I imagine NSA is already watching your (our) backyards. :ugh:

As soon as this goes live I'm going to order 50 dildos and play "Ride of the Valkyries" on a loudspeaker.

Truth to be known, this is probably more of a public tactic to leverage UPS or FedEx shipping rates between Amazon and the carriers.  If anyone is going to develop these, likely it would be UPS since they are the ones that would lose revenue in this situation.   Just like Walmart leveraged Master Card rates, Amazon is probably leveraging UPS.

Chuck, you got me to laughing so hard I spit out my coffee. Now I've got to clean my monitor! These drones cause issues with me, as I have declared the airspace around and above my property as a restricted no fly zone! I guess they'll have to use the ol' UPS to deliver here.
