Exactly what I thought I saw (Black Friday sales)

The day before Black Friday I read an article that said retailers expect a 31% increase over last year. Walking around I saw a lot of people looking and not a lot buying.

 

Only two retailers showed improvement, Walmart and Target.

 

Nationwide retailers are reporting that there were overall more people who came to shop, but there were less shoppers (Less receipts) and the average was $185 per shopper vs $210 per shopper last year. 

 

Best Buy aint going to make it, Forbes was correct, as of right now, sales (receipts) down 14%. 

 

Walmart expected to top their 22 million receipts last year, hit 10 million in the first 4 hours. 

 

About 48% of potential consumers Nationally actually made a purchase. You could see all the "looking not buying" walking around the barely filled stores. (Compared to previous years)

 

Sales are 40% below run rated projections and not expected to recover even with online sales and Cyber Monday due to margin erosion when the online competition starts.

 

 

That's what happens when the Gov removes disposable income from the pockets of consumers. I would bet that Best Buy wont be the only business that goes under next year (Assuming Forbes is correct).

People are scared to spend money at this time.

If my wife and I were not debt free, We would be in the same boat.

wait to when everybody health care goes up.  you will see that you will not have any disposable income.  you will be working for food, fuel, and health care.  disposable income is freedom, it lets you do what you want.  go to a movie, the beach, a new car, a better home, more guns, etc....  without it you are working just to stay alive and supporting the dead beats that the government made. that is what they want, it is a way to control you.  you will not get the real numbers on the shopping this year from the news, they are vested in this government and cannot tell you the real truth.  if you don't have it now, when obama care is fully started you are not going to get it.  your health care will be high so you can pay for the health care of the people that will not work.

i only saw one deal and that was a tv but i was not going to go out to buy it and they didnt offer it online
