Thinking about going to the IDPA match Sunday. Its listed on IDPA website and shows time is 8-9am. Its not listed on the MTSC club website. But they show the mixed discipline matches registration is 11:45am on the 3rd Sunday. Anybody know anything about what time I need to show up? I have never done any kind of competition shooting.

Also can I load my mags full instead of 10rds? I dont carry my 15rd mags loaded with just 10rds. And shoot the course more the way I want to as long as I follow the safety rules?

If you've never shot a match there you should be there by 11:45. New shooter briefing at 12:00. Match should start at 12:30.

Ok, the 10rd thing isnt that big a deal. I can understand only loading 10rds, to force a reload during the COF. Looking at MCTS website, their COF is more along the lines of what I think I am looking for. They seem to be giving  a lot of leeway in how you shoot and when and how you reload. How do the matches in Manchester compare to MCTS matches?

I am not interested in winning any matches. I will be using my Glock 19 in a supertuck, always drawing from concealment, and likely use my Shield 9mm from time to time. What about my mag carrier? I have a single horizontal mag carrier, carried at about 11 o'clock. I know it is against the rules, but would I be allowed to use it and just take a time penalty?

Has nothing to do with forcing a reload. IDPA was started under the '94 AWB and some states still have bans in place. The 10 round rule is to provide a level playing field across all states in the USA just the same as Production in USPSA. There is nothing "real life" (sorry kitty) about IDPA and mag capacity. It's a game with rules (some stupid in my opinion) but if ya play the game you play by the rules just like football or baseball.

Well I went to the match on Sunday. Had a blast. Looks like they do an IDPA match the 1st sunday, steel match the 2nd sunday, and a "mixed" discipline match the 3rd sunday.
