Picked this up Sunday

I did some trading with my AR, and ended up with this on Sunday. Also got some ammo, mags and boot to go with it. its a 4th Generation (late model and supposed to be the best quality) Century CETME .308 Battle rifle. Bolt gap checks good, and it shoots fairly accurate. Only tried it offhand so far. This is gonna be a test bed gun for a project I'm working with a shop on. The goal is 2 moa at 800 yds, and its gonna include turning our own custom bull barrel, trigger, stock upgrade, etc. So far what I noticed most, was how fun this thing is to shoot.

If you got a full NSW Chest rig, this thing is probably only a couple hundred dollars more lol. Tell her its for her protection if the SHTF lol

Oh, she said the SHTF alright..... Just keeping my head down for now. Enjoy the rifle.

Spots, you do like to live large I see. And that's great. But dragging all these guys down with you as well. Have you no pity on them? When they give in to temptation, the wives give them hellfire and brimstone. 

 

Thankfully, I've only been mildly aroused by your pics and tales...so far.  And my wife doesn't threaten to throat punch me...yet.

I picked mine up a few months ago. Great shooter. Mounted the sight and was hitting decent groups out to 400 yards. Not bad for just sticking it on. I need to properly zero it in for longer distances. Well worth what I paid for it. Sadly it burns through 7.62 way too fast, 200 rounds go through it like nothing ;)

Great thing is mags are still REALLY cheap.
