Well, I went over to Academy this morning hoping to score a couple of those $9.99 ammo cans but NOOOO, they got cleaned out by some "guy from a gun store".  :mad:

Didn't look.  If anyone local wants a couple of those cans I just ordered 4 from their website (free shipping).  I really only wanted two so the other two can go at cost ($9.99 + tax)

When I was over there last week they were 19.99, and the drop then to 9.99 then let some gun store owner come in and buy ALL OF THEM for the discount price KNOWING they were going to a gun store? Thats some SS.

I was in Academy in Hixson today, they had quite a few guns on sale, a couple on clearance for $150 off normal prices and I know I saw at least 12 or so that were 50-125 off. Scope prices knocked way down. They have some good deals that are not advertised, didnt see any of the Rossi .357's, but if todays crowd was a sign of things to come tomorrow night, Ill pass.

I wonder if it was the same guy that was selling the boxes of 22 for $82. You could always go see him. I be the would sell you one for $75 for one can. He may even have it for $65 on Black Friday. :) Edited November 28, 2013 by jwinter
