First let me start by saying that this site is a hobby by a couple of programmers and I. We are making 0 money off of it and are paying for the servers/hosting/ etc.. entirely out of our own pocket. There is not a single ad or even a donate button on the site. It is a free tool created for other gun enthusiast.

About 2 years ago I wanted to create a way to quickly find the cheapest price on any gun I wanted. I was lucky enough to find some extremely talented programmers to help me out here locally. So after a long time testing and grabbing some good deals for ourselves , we are ready to release it to everyone right in time for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. We hope you guys enjoy it, its been fun!

The url is http://www.gunwatcher.com the site is COMPLETELY FREE.

how it works: You type in the gun you want and it searches dozen's of gun stores, AS WELL as auctions ending with 6 hours, or auctions with a Buy it Now. It returns these results in a table and you can quickly click a link to go straight to the page. you can also use the "watch this gun" feature. This allows you to save that model to your "watch list" and everytime you login you can quickly check the current cheapest price of all of your saved guns. It will let you know if the price has raised or lowered since the last time you checked.

I have put more hours than i can count into this project along with a few other programmers. We love any feedback good or bad, just use the contact us link on the page. If you guys like the website please tell your friends, family, social media, forums, etc.. We appreciate any help we can get! Hope you guys enjoy the site, and go save yourself some money!

We are from the bordering state north of you and had someone at knobb creek gun range recommended these boards, hope it helps some of you guys!

PS. Any board sponsors that want your site added please contact me, as mentioned before it doesn't cost anything just meant to help gun owners and gun shop's (especially small mom and pop stores) out . Can never have to many of either!

Well since I attempted to send the feedback that was asked for through the contact link, it only allows a limited response not allowing to get the first paragraph in, Ill post it here.

I like it BUT:

A good 70-90% of each search (I searched 1911's, Ed Brown, Windham Weaponry and some others), come from Gunbroker on any given search. Any search seems to bring up at least 90% from four different sellers, Gunbroker, GunsAmerica and a mix between Gander Mountain or Academy. With a scattering of others thrown in. I have already asked several of my friends who are always looking for 1911's and they have the same opinion, dont see them using this "yet" since Gunbrokers built in search engine allows to dig down to specifics, for most Gander is not an option (Prices) and Academy only covers about 12 states and is In Store only. Same with Bass Pro. J&G pops up, but we would like to see more businesses like J&G.

A lot of "Sold" items pop up on GunsAmerica, excluding the words "sold" and "used" does not block the used and sold guns. For example one person did a search for a Remington 870, the first several items that popped up were barrels for 870's that cost 50-90 dollars more than could be had elsewhere, one of the first 870's that came up was a used express for $10 less than what Academy was selling them for new further down the page. Excluding the words "Used" then Used as new", brought up the same results, even though the gun was listed as Used, but in the description "Used as new" but had a discolored butt pad.

Everyone I have been talking with seems to agree on one thing, if this worked like ammo engine for example, where you have actual lowest prices listed top to bottom that could be filtered based on the title and body, they would probably use it, and it needs to include a lot more sellers, gunbroker doesnt even interest them because if they are using gunbroker they are usually looking for something specific and use gunbrokers engine. It doesnt do them any good (yet) if they are looking at purchasing a new gun and have to sort through a long list of used guns on gunbroker (They can already do that) or the guns are available in store only when they do not have those stores available anywhere in the state.

So those are some of the things they (we) would like to see.

Filters that will filter out specific words in both title and description (Some are just not interested in used guns or paying 10 dollars less for something they can get new)

Filtering out "sold" "used" or "used as new" (Which is still used) items" or Auction Ended items.

And Im sure since this appears to be a new launch that your algorithms will bring in more with crawlers over time. But for right now, it's easier to just use Gunbrokers search engine, or just look at the others ads online or in person.

Either way, everyone seems to agree this holds promise.

thanks for the feedback!  Gunsamerica is a tricky one,  with gunbroker i can tell when an auctions sells with gunsamerica there is nothing, just that it is available.  I have a few ideas i can hopefully pass off to the team and get them implemented. We are constantly adding new stores, including 10 in the last 24 hours.  Do you have any sites you would like to see on there?  Also if your interested in just stores you can uncheck "Buy it now Auctions", and "Auctions Ending within 6 Hours" to get rid of all auction type items.  You seem to have a lot of great feedback, if you dont mind i would like to pm you and possibly get your feedback or some things?
