why are used cars priced so high

sometimes it is better to use the cash that you have for a use car as a down payment for a new car that has zero percent for so many months.  hard to beat a new car at zero percent when you put a large down payment down.  that is if you have the credit and can make the payments.  if not, it looks like it is a cash and carry use car and the games of buying a use car.

I don't know if it has been said, but that Cash for Clunkers deal.  well about the time that ended the prices started going up.  The Market had an unnatural low in used car availability it seems which drove the price of those remaining up.  Plus new cars cost A whole lot more now then they did.  However, my wages haven't kept up with gas prices.
