I saw one of these turbine jets (yes, with real jet A1 fuel) flying during the R/C show over the last weekend. It was a MIG 29, and it was amazingly fast. Just a shade under 300mph. The turbine alone can cost upwards of $5000-$6000+++. It's easy for these type of jets to cost over the $10,000 mark.

They make it look easy, but you need cat-like refexes to fly these badboys. Watching them fly these in 3D is like no other flying I've ever seen in the R/C world.

Oh yea, the jet even had air brakes. So bada$$.

Pretty cool... now he just needs to add functional thrust vectoring and really do some cool stunts with it.

However, I stil think this is my favorite R/C aircraft of all time:
