Picked up something really neat today.

Some of you may have read about me exchanging a new M&P Shield today for a G19, which was intended as a Christmas present.  Well...the G19 wasn't the only thing I picked up.  I got something else for me today.

Not a good pic, but you can see what it is, a Tavor SAR B-16.  It is pretty sweet.  :)

Of course you'll probably have no other presents under the tree this year.

You got that right.  Come the first of the year, I am back to not spending squat.

I read something on another forum that has me pretty excited.  Geiselle is going to make an improved trigger for the Tavor.  The stock trigger isn't terrible, but it is heavy.

Congratulations. I've held a couple and think I'd like to try for one. But oddly enough, as I don't usually like anything but black in my firearms; I find myself attracted to the FDE version with these.

Congrats, you'll really enjoy the Tavor. What optic are you planning to use?

awesome man, I want one of these BAD. Mind if a fellow Chattanoogan follows you to the range one day to give her a go? My ammo of course!

I would not have a problem with that.  The only range I use anymore is Shooter's Depot.

I will probably use my Eotech for now or just run irons.

I finally took it to the range yesterday.  I love this rifle, and I think it is perfect for CQB.  The only downside I have found on it is the trigger.  It is fairly crisp, but it is very heavy.  I will be replacing the trigger once one becomes available.

Awesome gun. I was just showing this one to my wife. She told me I should definitely get one. And once my hopes got up, she said "all you need to do is save some money for it".

I've heard the trigger is really the only downside of the gun. That's good news about Geiselle developing a trigger for it.
