The interesting thing if the undetectable gun law expires might not be so much what comes from 3D printers as what commercial gun makers might come up with.

And that’s the point; how it is manufactured is irrelevant. 3D printing caused the media to play to the hand wringers that think everyone will start printing guns. I know guns, machining and metallurgy; 3D printing is not going to impact gun manufacturing other than possibly lowering the cost of some components as MIM and PIM has done.
