Got last spring.

Oh OK, I was just wondering if you could have posted a warning before I bought mine, but I was first. lol

When I saw the kit (And only $75 extra for the sights), somehow I ended up here http://www.shootingtimes.com/2011/06/09/22-rimfire-garand-parts-list/ and several other similar places and thought about the 10/22 Garand after the M1 Carbine. But after my M1 Carbine fiasco, decided against the Garand 10/22.

If you've never experienced the "tunnel vision" that happens during actual self-defense scenarios then you really will not grasp exactly how useful laser sights are on a defensive weapon, especially when there are multiple hostiles.

They might seem "gimmicky" for recreational range use, but trust me when I say that there is no better weapon sight when looking through that adrenaline induced tunnel.

If you are going to get a laser get a green one. Red is useless in daylight and even though it works in nighttime a green is amazing in comparison. I used my green laser to point out stars to my niece.

Happy to say that I haven't fallen for any useless add on for my pistols. I was contemplating a laser at one point but one day at the range someone next to me had one. I quickly realized that it would be more of a distraction for me and they never crossed my mind again! If I knew who that guy was I would thank him!

Considering I can't shoot for crap anyway, most of them are pretty dumb actually.

Vertical foregrip I guess.

Vertical foregrip for an AR comes to my mind first as well.

Going to go with the gear for my kel tec plr16.  The gun is awesome.  In a fit of not knowing what I was doing at the time, I bought the forend which added a significant amount of weight, and a pistol scope.  The forend I took back off once I realized that putting a grip/bipod on it was not legal, making that purchase useless.   The pistol scope is nice but not what I expected, and it will likely be canned for a red dot someday.   I would have been better off just keeping it as-is from the factory, after all was said and done.
