Didnt watch the first episode of the new show. Saw the previews and it looked too contrived. The "practical jokes" look like they were staged by stuntmen and Paul Sr. jumping all over the new guy looked forced and acted, as opposed to the early years where he would go up one side of Paul jr and down the other and about have him crying.

I have been to the new shop when it first opened (SIL lived in Catskill right down the road) and was completely underwhelmed by the bikes they built, in person the Spider Bike, Fire Bike and the others look more like monstrosities than the cool way they look on TV. And the guys in the back who were actually working on the bikes, were not on the show, they were the guys you never see. The ones with the shirts that said "Certified Harley Technician" or "Certified Harley Mechanic".

Front shop full of overpriced OCC labeled crap.

Anyone watch the new show? What do you all think? Worse contrived than the last few years of the old show?

OCC lost its appeal a good 10 years ago if it had any at all.  I wish they would just go away already and quit turning out their underpowered, heavy, poor handling, and uncomfortable junk.

I lost interest when American Chopper stopped being a documentary type show narrated by Mike Roe and went to the somewhat scripted reality show.
I like watching the assembly and tech behind building a bike....not the drama.

I could never understand how they survived w an idiot like senior trying to run the business. I enjoyed the tech side as well but in the end I guess I enjoyed the charity work they did.
I would never want to own or ride one of their bikes. Rough riding high dollar bar hoppers was never my style, along w the idea that one mishap with a stone or loose kickstand could cost 10 grand...
