Work Sharp knife and tool sharpener

I've had my eye on a Work Sharp knife sharpener at Northern Tool.  I've watched the video demos and I'm pretty impressed.  Has anyone used one?

I've got a pair of Kukri's and a pair of Tanto's. I'd just like to find an easier way to keep a good edge on them without exerting too much effort.

Never used a work sharp. I use a 1 x 30 belt grinder from harbor freight on all my customs after forging them, as well as sharpening all my pocket knives and fixed blades on it. Buy a few belts in different grits from 120 to 800, add a leather strop belt with stropping compound. You can make a butter knife shave in 10 minutes.

I have a Worksharp. It's a handy tool, but I won't use it on one of my good knives. It's hard to be real precise with it. It will put a good edge on something fast.

Me too. Like Mike says, it makes it really easy to put a nice edge on a knife real quick.

Mike beat me to it.  If you go with the worksharp, get the Ken Onion version.  And then go ahead and plan on getting all of the attachments.  One of the attachments will allow it to take a leather belt for stropping.  And stropping is all you need 9 times out of 10 anyways.
