Wow. This really happened in 2013? :(

That was five years ago.

I remember meeting and dealing with Tanker for the first time back then...

Those new Tisas Regent BR9 Hi-Powers are starting to get some attention.

Is it good attention?

My FAL needs a friend.

They are quite a nice looking pistol in the stainless version.

I’ve not handled one in person but what I’ve seen on the www is mostly positive.

It’s a necessary companion to the FAL if I want to be a man amongst men.

Your certification might be at stake if you don’t consider one...or is it more manly to pay far more than needed for something fully functional, yet seldom used?

Well, to be Era Correct..., it should be a Browning Hi-Power to go along with a FAL.

Not that I'm trying to get this topic off-track!  😂

But if one has an imitation FAL why not an imitation HP?  😀

This is a fair point. My FAL is a DSArms in para config. None of that stops me from rocking the short shorts though. 😎

My FAL is a DSA as well. I was wondering what the relation to the HP was regardless....were FAL’s from Turkey at some time?

Biggest problem I’ve read about the BR9 is the extractors giving out at around 1,000 rounds.

The FAL aka “the right arm of the free world” was adopted as the primary battle rifle of over 90 nations around the world. We should have adopted it in the US and would have if not for the actions of one man. Instead we got stuck with the M-14. As to the relationship between the FAL and the BHP in this context, the Rhodesian military used the BHP alongside the FAL. How that relates is that I referenced their recruitment slogan.

I think a lot of countries issued the FAL with BHPs.  Those were the ubiquitous military firearms of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

And with good reason.

I really like my frankenFAL. It's heavy, but heavy in the same way a BHP is heavier than a Glock. Apparently I should move the BHP further up "the list", I wasn't aware it was the issued sidearm.

That is very tastefully done.
