I found this forum while looking for an online place to arrange FTF sales. I'm 24 and I shot my first gun over labor day weekend. I had the opportunity to shoot an M1 Carbine, a Colt Army Special .32-20 (serial number is listed as 1917 I believe), and a .40 S&W Sigma. If I had known it was going to be so much fun I would have done it ages ago. I am now looking into purchasing my first gun - a rifle (Everyone seems to think I should spend time on a .22 for learning / ammo costs).

Welcome,

IMO, (and it's just opinion) a good 22 can teach a lot about firearms at a very low cost. I have one just for playing with and light varmit work, but wouldn't recommend them as a defensive weapon.

Good luck, and good shooting!
