I'm in St Louis this week, is there anything that is a must do - attraction or food.
On our honeymoon so not everything is for me... Staying in Maryland Heights so on the west side of the city.

Already spent a while at the Arch today.
Tomorrow we are considering the zoo depending on weather, botanical garden for her, and the Anheuser Busch brewery tour. Also looking for some good BBQ!

On Thursday am running over to Sedalia and stopping at Sierra Bullet Co. for the tour and some bullet seconds.

The old train station downtown has been turned into a mall. The show the put on at the fudge shop is pretty good and they give out samples.

Well, there is the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame.

Yeah, there really is one. And it is in St. Louis. And no, I've never been. It's in some hotel downtown.

Be sure and hit Cabelas if you've never been to one. There's one just north of Maryland Heights. It's a Good Un'. Worth seeing for the stuffed big game displays. I worked at West Port Plaza for years.

I've been to Cabelas, figure they are all mostly the same but may go if we have time.

Wanted to go to Grants Farm but website says they closed last week for the winter.

I had heard mixed reviews on the city museum from a few friends but I think we are going to stop there. But skipping the aquarium...

I knew there were several cathedrals around, not my think but she would like to get some pics. And the mall - of course she wants to shop :-)

Thanks for the ideas!

There is a LOT of great stuff in that town. Good food everywhere. It's just been a few years since I hung out there much, and 20 years since I lived there last. If you like Italian food, St' Louis is one of the best places, and the Hill has the best of the best. I haven't been to the Hill in years, but last time I was there, it looked the same as when I was a kid.

For anyone else who visits, the Zoo is incredible. Much better than Nashville and it is free to get in. I had heard/read it is one of the top in the country, not sure since I've only visited a few, but they have a bunch of species including a few I had not seen live before.

The Union Station mall was neat - kind of small store selection but The Fudgery was worth the visit.

Changed our plans a bit so heading to the City Museum and Busch tour tomorrow.

Staying out of East St Louis, but still heard some gun shots downtown. Stopped at a red light yesterday, 4 shots (sounded like a 9mm) and a couple guys came running around an apartment complex. We took out quickly...

If you need powder and primers to go with Sierra's seconds and don't buy from David, Graf and sons in St Charles and Dunn in Festus may have what you need. Google the addy's and phone numbers and check stock if interested.

I really enjoyed the Sierra tour and the seconds I have bought have performed well.
