Need advice on plates for my new vest

Recommended Posts

I didn't want to hijack the other thread so here goes it. I picked up what I believe is a pretty nice vest/plate carrier made by Point Blank body armor. I scored it at a garage sale for $5 and similar vests made by that company are $200 online.

I'd like to eventually get some plates for this thing and I was wondering what you all recommended? I know we have some experienced people here.

thank you,

I believe it's identical to this one.

It does use ceramic. Meant for esapi or sapi. That's what they are cut inside to fit.

Also, meant to use soft armor in conjunction with those plates. If you get a similar cut, and let's say a stand alone, you'll need to make padding for it to conform and hold the plates in place because they will not be as thick as sapi style plates and rattle around.

Pm me and we can go a lot more in depth. Also, I have something for you if your interested.
