A bit torn between CZ's

Ok, I am a bit torn between 2 CZ pistols. I want a pistol to carry and shoot IDPA with (against myself, to get better at handling my carry piece).

I like the CZ 75 compact alloy 9mm and the CZ RAMI. The RAMI would basically eliminate me from being competitive but it would be a good carry gun, while the 75 would be relatively light (since it is alloy and not steel) but slightly big to carry. Help me decide! Is there a gun shop in the Chatt, Cleveland area that carries RAMI and CZ 75 compacts? Otherwise it is Bud's Gun Shop. Thanks!

I believe the "Sportsmans Warehouse" carries CZ's of multiple flavors.

I fondled a Rami once..the grip felt...awkward.. really awkward.

The CZ75 compact aint that big.

Thanks, all the SW had the other day was a CZ 75 full size, I believe. I hear the RAMI can be a "bit chunky". Anyone confirm?

The RAMI just didn't feel right to me. Had a CZ P01 that felt great. Was a great shooter and easy to carry concealed.

Chunky and clunky would be the words i would choose.

Leaning towards the CZ 75 compact alloy framed or the CZ 75 compact satin nickel. Anyone know how the nickel holds up on these, i'd imagine better than the polycoat?

Wife loves hers, not too "clunky" or "chunky" fpr me, but

she shoots it with the 10 rnd mag, I shoot it with the 14 rnd extended finger rest mags

Only hard thing about it is breaking it down to clean it, still newand Tough to get apart, inlike a sig

The CZ 75 Compact is a nice sized carry gun while a lot of folks like the RAMI. You are on the right track by handling both before purchase. The RAMI in 40 S&W seems to have had some problems while the 9mm doesn't but I had a CZ75 Compact in 40 S&W and it had some problems also where the 9mm did not. I believe the problems are related to the round type and size in 40 S&W.

Thanks for the input guys...I wish I had the problem of being able to buy both.

I have the P01 and the P06 which are both also "compact" CZ's and I love them. I have no complaints and would buy extras if I had the money...

For some reason, the looks of the RAMI still have me torn. It's a good looking little gun. What does it compare to size-wise?

I went with the RAMI from Bud's Gun Shop for $514 delivered. Will be picking it up from my favorite FFL in Cleveland next week. Also ordered an extra 14 round mag for it, another mag for my P95, double mag holder for IDPA, and a new range bag. Happy Birthday to me :P:lol:
