been staying in the same hotel as UFC fighters

While in Nashville this week, I have been in the same hotel as UFC fights.  Go to hear strange things in the elevator, eat breakfast in the same room as them.  Watched them on TV last nihgt and then saw them again at breakfast.

 

 

 

One of the strange comments we heard the day we checked in by one of their crew was "At least this place doesn't smell like ass today."  Then he explained that the night before they had been "Cutting Weight."  I will let you figure that out. 

It seems they had a weigh in that morning for the offical weights.

 

 

I was very glad it didn't smell like ass as well since I am on the same floor as most of them.

 

I don't know there names but 2 woman we watched fight last night, one of them got a cut above her left eye.  She won the fight and I saw her in the dinning room this morning. Her face was still swelled up and I could see where they patched up her cut.  She was only 2 tables away from me.

I've been a big MMA fan for a long time. The UFC, being the major league of the sport, is really doing a good job, IMO, of bringing the sport to the mainstream.

 

It would have been really cool to meet some of them, especially if Ronda Rousey or Miesha Tate had been there.
