The 2nd Annual Toys for Tots Charity Shoot will be held

22 November - the Saturday before Thanksgiving at ORSA.

This will be a great match with 7 stages and a great prize table including firearms. It will be a "hybrid" match using IDPA targets and scoring with USPSA rules. Last years match was a lot of fun and this one will be even better.

Cost is $30 and one new toy. This includes lunch. Limited to the first 84 shooters.

Go to ORSAIDPA.com for more information.

I shot this match last year and had a great time. Getting to shoot a fun match and helping less fortunate people around the holidays, it don't get much better than that. Come out and shoot this event if you can. The folks at ORSA are a fine bunch to spend the day with as well.

Just got back from a T for T meeting. There are now 3 guns on the prize table for 1st Gold,Silver and Bronze based on the Lewis scoring system. There are also several other door prizes. This is gonna be a great match so pre-register before it's too late. There will be 7 seven stages with the rd ct being in the 140 range. Targets and scoring will be IDPA with IPSC rules. Best of both worlds. Stages will be fun yet challengeing with one stage being all steel with a Texas Star. Lunch will be provided. Last year was a great match and this one will be even better. Come on out and help the less fortunate and have fun doing it. http://orsaidpa.com/2008toys.htm

Need clarification. Are long slides allowed? I shoot a benny Hill Fat free. obviously my CR speed is not legal (This is limited legal in USPSA). Interested in shooting but don't really want to buy a new rig.

I plan on shooting my 6" STI but leaving my CR Speed at home and trying to shuck it out of a Blade Tech DOH. Come on out and blast with us. Jason Edwards

Thanks Jason,

How about mag position on the belt. Does it need to be behind the ASIS or is the traditional front position OK ( limited). Looking at switching to DOH also this year, this Maybe the right time. Will try to make it there.

Holster and mag pouch positions are IDPA (point of hip)

Should be great weather next Saturday for the match - mid 50's and sunny. Looking forward to a big turnout and a fun match.

wow. this looks like it would be great fun for a great cause but I let a LEO friend borrow my Glock 23 and wouldn't be comfortable running my 1911 so I'm s.o.l.

Have fun guys :D

Just got home from the RO shoot. 7 good stages that will sucker you in into going too fast (don't ask me how I know) but will reward you if you have visual patience. There's still plenty of slots availible so walk ups are more than welcome. Shooting starts @ 9:00 AM sharp so don't be late. I'll be the RO on stage 3 so say howdy.

If it were not for the in-laws visiting this weekend, and my complete lack of the required hardware (unless a Baby Eagle with 2 10-round magazines and no holster is sufficient), I would so be there :D.

Reminds me, though, I need to raid a KBToys here sometime soon.

Have a good time guys. There was about 6-7 of us that was going to try and shoot the match but my buddies only shoot in the open division so their equipment was a no go.

well how was it for those that made it? who won the goodies?

Gun winners were Jason Edwards(BigJ45),Ben Harris, seems like he said he was from the Dayton area, and Leonard Bailey. There were memberships to Gunny's Indoor range, gunsmithing certificates from Mark Dye Custom,Techwear shooting shirts, etc. Most important, we got to have fun for a good cause.
