stock upgrade question

Ok-I just bought a Savage 116 rifle.  I would like to exchange the stock for one that would have an adjustable check weld/pull length and ability to add a bipod.  I have done some checking online and have found stocks that claim to fit this rifle, but I don't want to buy something and be stuck after the fact because I am buying out of ignorance.   Do any of you guys have a brand preference on these types of stocks and could confirm a model matching what I am looking for that would be suitable for my rifle??  Thanks for the info guys...
