Hunting from a tree stand, always use a harness

I dont usually "pass this on" but this came directly from a relative (Not a mass email) whos fairly well known in the Hunting, FIshing and Outdoors World and he doesnt usually make requests to pass stuff on and send garbage emails. Simply, let your hunting friends see this and say "Please, always use a harness when in a stand".

 

So Im passing it on. You can never go wrong on a simple reminder on safety.

I never could come up with a reason not to wear one. I've even got in the habit of hooking up when I climb/descend. I didn't use to do that but it takes like an extra 30 seconds. I had a good friend fall and break both ankles and had a tree step rip him open on the way down. a little more and the step woulda hung his bottom rib and done God knows what. Luckily he lived.

Very sad.
