ITAR violation for allowing his 3d plans on to the web? Really? Geez, so all the weapons out there that you can take a look at will they be ITAR violations as well? Fkin Ridiculous.. 

 

ITAR is a big blanket that prevents ANY tech that can be used for military purposes from leaving the USA.   Even if you invent it in your basement on your own time,  the second you go to sell it or give it away outside the country, big brother has the right to step in and tell you to cease and desist.   Normally, this is a good thing --- most of the things covered could be used by terrorists to cause some serious harm to us or our allies, or gives them info on how our crap works to better defend against it --- but this is a misuse of the blanket (big surprise?) by the feds to push their anti gun agenda.   Normally small arms designs are not covered by ITAR, nor are the ammo and so on.   It is normally reserved for cutting edge tech -- things best not discussed but for a well known example, if they were plans on how to print up a working ICBM they would be wise to step in for such a thing...
