Two miracles? (In one day)

Call this what you want. Ill say its a pretty amazing thing. Maybe its that the human body is an incredibly amazing machine, I dont know.

My wifes aunt was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and told it was terminal about two months ago. She has been in and out of the hospital for the last two months and went into surgery today. She is in surgery, my wife calls me and tells me that they opened her up and where they were fully convinced there was cancer, it wasnt there. She did have ovarian cancer, but they told her, after numerous tests and by more than one specialist and it had shown up on several CT scans, that it had spread to her spleen and colon. Well she is in surgery and one of the doctors came out and said there was no cancer on either her spleen or her colon. They did the surgery for the Ovarian and removed lymphnodes (I was told as a precaution), but other than that, no cancer.

My mother was diagnosed 3 or 4 weeks ago with lung cancer. Told she had days to live, that her lung was bleeding, if they couldnt stop it she probably wouldnt last the night. They got it stopped after an oncologist came in and told her her best bet was Hospice Care until it was over. They did tell her that they could do radiation that would prolong her life for a few months but she turned it down. Doctors said she had a large mass on her lung, that it had some kind of (I dont know the terminology) leathery coating and they couldnt remove the lung because she wouldnt survive the operation. She said no to Hospice Care, she just wanted to go home, so they took her home. Night before last, and the reason I didnt make day 2 of the show, I was told she was back and had started bleeding again. We all guessed this was the end. I waited all day on a phone call Sunday and yesterday figuring I would be driving to Texas to handle Funeral plans. Nope, she wasnt bleeding and in fact the Doctors are now telling her if she does the radiation they may be able to do the surgery. And that even though she declined it with her signature all she has to do is give the word and tey will begin. She doesnt have a lot of time to decide, but my sister said she has decided, yea, shes going with the radiation.  And here is the weirdest part, Im planning on going down to do Funeral preparations and 2 hours ago my mother is back home sitting at the kitchen table having coffee with my sister! WHAT THE HECK!? I'm talking to a Funeral director in Texas and my mother is home having coffee.

I dont know what the hecks going on here, but this is the third time I have seen something in our family like this in 18 months.

Brother, your story has literally made my day! Really glad that you are getting some positive news. That's the kind of funny family story others just don't get, here you are making some very serious and trying phone calls, doing what no one ever wants to do but must be done, and your mom and sis are having a chat over coffee. Love it.

Once again man, really glad for you and yours, hope the treatment for your mom works 110% and you all are able to laugh about this for many years to come.

Years ago my wife went through a series of blood tests which showed overwhelming evidence of bone cancer.  Just to make it official, the doc recommended a bone marrow test which, although painful, would conclusively prove what we all were fearing.  However, we had recently become Christians and read in the Bible that if we would ask the elders of the church to anoint her with oil and pray in the name of the Lord, she would be healed.  With no other scientific alternative, we decided to do just that.  After the prayer, my wife simply said, "Okay, that's it.  I'm healed."

We told the doctor to cancel the bone marrow test as it would not be necessary.  "You're a very sick woman," he answered.  "I don't recommend we spend a lot of time discussing this."  We decided that the best thing would be to undergo the test and settle it.

The doctor called us a couple of days later, hemming and hawing that the test was inconclusive and that they were running the sample again.  When he called back, there was a distinct humility in his voice.  "We don't understand what happened," he began, "but your blood levels have returned to normal and there's no other indication of any disease."

My wife said, "I told you so.  Jesus heals."
