Nobody confirmed hit, only rounds fired seen by witnesses were into air so far.

 

Reportedly dressed all in black with tac vest and "big rifle".

 

Seems to be all that's known at the moment.

sounds like the person was a nut case and a heavy drug user.  looks like he was someone that have been off the street a long time ago.  not much in the news at this time.  must not meet the standards that they want for another gun control push.

Seen this this morning and also some kids got arrested for entering a school with rifles this during non school hours

If the media's motives were in the right place (an oxymoron I know) it would try to tone down coverage of these events that turn out to be less than catastrophic. Every moron knows when they go out with a "bang" they will be on MSNBC, CNN, etc. live ... or recently live.

Might make for an interesting "twist" movie. Machete wielding killer receives an "el presidente" in the first 15 minutes but the *real* story is...

Being a native from NJ and living close to where this happened always reminds me how happy I am to be in the great state of TN. The law abiding people of NJ have to give an arm and a leg to get a permit to buy a gun, but the bads guys can get them when ever they want. Thank GOD for TN.

The "modified" rifle was apparently a .22, wearing  AR or AK clothes. Doesn't seem to be reported in print anywhere, but CNN reporter said it was a "point two two". :)

 

Probably a tacticooled 10/22, I'm guessing.
