This is one of the funniest things i have heard in a while.  This sounds like my kind of attorney.  Apparently now, the Government doesn't like people to use the term "the Government" to describe them.  Wonder why?

I thought that it was hilarious that the DA actually filed a motion to prevent him from referring to the State as "the government." Just goes to show how much of a negative connotation "the government" has in the hearts and minds of jurors that an Assistant District Attorney General would consider doing so. Although funny as hell, I think his response was a little over the top and unprofessional. Hope he doesn't get called out on it. Nevertheless, he got his point across.

I thought the response was wholly appropriate. A ridiculous action deserves a ridiculous response. When people act or say something that is just plain stupid (like this motion by the ADA) it should be treated with the amount of contempt and dismissiveness that it deserves. To treat ridiculousness as reasonable and valid only makes it appear as if it really is reasonable and valid. I think that's how we have allowed the PC police to gain the power they have when we should have been treating them as the idiots they really are.

I like the way Captain Justice thinks. Sort of a "if you want to uphold something ridiculous for their side, here's something ridiculous you can uphold for my side".

If you hadn't already posted this, I was going to post something very similar.

I agree with Chuck.  People that continue to act as though the absurd is normal should be countered with the absurd to illustrate their ridiculousness.

I decided this had to be my new title above my logo.  I still laugh when I read it and it has been all day.

I'd never hire him but I do admire him.

I wonder if any "gun rights" advocates in the Nashville area need a solicitor.

That made my day, I wish I had seen it this morning, it would have made sitting in my office so much better.

And this also reaffirms why I believe that Mr. Haas can be trusted more than his brethren.
