Recommendation on stock?

I will be buying a new stock for my Remington 700 tomorrow. I am trying to decide between a thumb hole stock or a traditional style stock. It will be used mainly for hunting application. I have handled thumb hole stock before and loved the way they felt but I am curious if I will like it in a hunting situation. The first thing that sticks out is the operation of the safety on a 700. Looks like you would have to remove your grip completely to operate it. Anyone with experience on thumb hole grip care to chime in? Thanks!

It's all about what's comfortable for you really. I prefer a thumbhole stock just because it gives me a pistol grip.

Yeah the thumb hole is more comfortable while shooting for sure. I guess i am just looking to get some cons from anyone that has put one on a hunting gun.
