More threat of prices going up without getting a bill out of Congress. It should really be the opposite.

Government intervention against the farmer has done nothing much more than cause prices to go

up every time. Energy policy pushed by then Senator Obama to use ethanol cause food prices and

fuel prices to rise. Double whammy. Must have been real good legislation.

It's just more reason to not enact laws. Too many on the books, already.

This article has to do with SNAP(food stamps) and uses it as an example of what might happen if it

doesn't get passed. I say leave the damned bill in committee and see what the prices do on their own.

One thing that would happen is at least the cost of milk wouldn't cost more for taxpayers picking up

the tab for the recipients of programs like SNAP.

Government controlled bribery: increase the profits to few and then expand the cost to many so another

group can live off the backs of others. That's what your government regulated charity does to all.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H.L. Mencken   In this case the Evil Republicans want to starve your children.

All the coal miners marched on Washington yesterday in an effort to stop the EPA from closing down the coal powered steam plants that produce a little over 40 % of America's electricity. I hope they succeed in their endeavors because about 90% of the EPA employees are UN-essential  according to the Shutdown so I say strip about 89% of the EPA's power to regulate and about 89% of is unnecessary employees and keep our coal miners working. If not and they begin closing down coal mines and steam plants where is the 40% of the nations electricity going to come from?..........jmho

We subsidize farmers to produce milk, then we give away that milk to the parasitic class.

Makes perfect sense.
