Hello to all members.

First I would like to say even though I live in the north my heart lies in Tennessee.

I've been bitten by the gun collecting bug so I look forward to gaining much knowledge and insight from this wonderful group.

Welcome.  I grew up in Manteno about 45 miles south of the city.  I have some good memories there, but glad to be in TN.

I was born in Lincoln IL during a couple month job my Dad was doing. Our home was in Columbia TN at the time, but I still catch hell from my buddys, "You were born in Illinois!?!?" Haha

I was born in a hospital, does that make me a Yankee or a Rebel?

Didn't realize we had so many damn yankees around here. I was born and raised in the Wheaton and Naperville areas.

Remember a damn yankee is someone who comes south and won't assimilate. That guy who is senator from VA Kaine is a great example of a damn yankee

I was always under the impression that a damn yankee was one that wouldn't go back.

It was but with all the scalawags ( Landrieu, Pryor, Hagan, to name a few) patriotic yankees are a welcome addition. I was surprised when i met my wife ( from PA) how much some small town people have with decent southern folks. Lots of them are seeing the light of how bad big government is.
