More specifically, where do go to request your records. My old unit is no longer, they have closed the armory in the town that it was in.

I searched and when I click on the link,https://tn.ngb.army.mil/hro which I got from this site, http://www.tnmilitary.org/ I get this message,

Where do I go. Some of my records have been misplaced and I want a copy of all of them anyway.

The certificate for that site looks OK, despite the exception. You should be OK ignoring the IE warning and proceeding to the site.

Actually, I want all of them. Due to a move, many are missing.

I was completely out in 1998. Verbal's link gets you to an online record request, which I have requested several items. You go through a series of questions, a service request number is given along with a bar code, you either fax or mail to the ARPERCEN in St. Louis. It was never written on how long it takes. You can do this if you are the Vet and if you are family of a deceased Vet. You have to go through some verification steps but you could get military records of your family members there as well.

Most Counties have a VA rep at the main courthouse. They are usually pretty good at sorting through the paper work trail.
