Im wanting/needing a new pocket knife. Ive always liked & had good luck with spyderco's. Im currently looking at a spyderco endura in stainless or a sog flash 2. Ive never had a sog so I dont know to much about them. Any suggestions on any others? Not really wanting to go over a 100.00 at the most. I figure if im gonna spend over a bill I might as well get something that goes boom.:D

Favorite folder I ever owned was a CRKT M16. I was pissed when I left that on a shelf at work and it subsequently vanished into thin air. Especially since I got it for the nice price of $20. :D

Nowadays I carry a Kershaw Scallion. Pretty useless as a weapon unless I'm battling with packing tape, but handy as a utility knife.

I have the Flash II, another sog, the M-16, which is a good knife, and a few spydercos. You can't go wrong with any of these for a good work knife. I have a Benchmade, which is a very sharp, very nice knife, but the tip broke, not a good work knife. Personally, I would go with the Flash or the M-16 for an all around pocket knife.

SOG Twitch XL here. Had a problem shipped it in with a note and it came back a couple of weeks later good as new. Haven't had a problem since.

I always used to like Gerber, until I found Cold Steel.

Gerber - 1 (have five of their knoves currently)

Cold Steel - 2

SOG / Kershaw / Ka-Bar (tied) - 3

* I sorely miss my elder [Gerber] Mark I (black), and I had serious use of the two Mark IIs. Neither are made any longer which mucho sucks. My younger brother (the . . . ummm . . . pardon this naming . . . jar-head ended up with it) ended up with it and said he almost wept when he broke the tip of it. The Mark Is you can find even at eBay that are used and nowhere near new command a very nice dollar amount. The Guardian is the replacement or current in the Mark I's place, still need to get one of those. I also regret they are no longer solely an Oregon based company but have products with their name on it produced in Italy and such.

I'd suggest a Cold Steel. I have the GunsiteII and Recon1. Both have the Tanto blades. Amazing knives.

I wouldn't buy from their website. You can find them cheaper.

Yeah I been browsing knives on Ebay & they seem to be between 25 to 50% cheaper than from the websites of the manufactuers.

I have many knives, but I usually reach for my SOGs first. I have the Pentagon Elite, the Flash 2, and the Seal Pup. SOG's customer service is great. The clip broke on my well used Pentagon elite and I called to see about getting it repaired. They said to send it in and they would take a look at it. Two or three weeks later I got a brand new knife in the mail. I can't say enough good things about SOG.

well I just lost a auction a eBay I missed a stainless delica spyderco. It went for 33.10 which is a awesome price. I'd really like to check a sog flash out somewhere so I could fondle it to see how I like it.

No one has mentioned Benchmade. You can't go wrong with one. I have two and they are far better knives than my SOG folder (Flash I).

I love mine, too. For the money, Cold Steel is hard to beat. Their prices are a bit steep on the website, but as you pointed out, they can be had for a great bargain from other sources.

Cold Steel makes good knives for sure but I can't stand the owner. He looks like a mall ninja poser on the videos and copies other makers designs with no acknowledgement to them.

I've had two of the CRKT m-16 and love them. these have become my new favorites. they are also a great company to deal with. the clip got bent in my wreck and i was able to order a whole new set of parts for next to nothing directly from their website. grest knives.

Well I went with a Stainless Steel Spyderco Native. Should be here next week I ran across a really good deal on it although it is slightly used. I figured I spend a little bit on it & save a lil to get something really nice in a month or so. Atleastt his will cure my new knife itch for a bit.
