Had a driver quit this morning because he wants to make more money - so he's going to a company that doesn't pay deadhead (empty) miles, extra stop pay or tarp pay. BUT they start at 40 cents per loaded mile! (He was making 36 cents for ALL miles here, plus extra stop & tarp pay.)  That ain't right! (The math just doesn't work out.)

We figure he'll be asking for his job back by about mid-December...

Every show with a gun:  When a striker fired gun is drawn and pointed there is always the sound of a hammer being cocked or a slide being racked even when it is not shown.  No one can draw a gun without making those sounds.

Every show with plain clothed LEO:  They show the LEO's (particular female ones) running, jumping, tumblings, driving, ... all with no possible way to conceal a gun under their tight fitting clothes, then suddenly they have a full-sized gun just at the moment they need to point it at someone.

Every show where a gun is used to hold someone:  Captor captures captive and holds them at gunpoint.  After several moments of walking or talking, THEN the captor decides that for dramatic effect they should actually load a round into the chamber, not minutes ago when they used the gun to hold this person captive.

I had the chance to get a CDL back in the 80's.  In the 90's had HAZWOPR & HAZMAT certs.  It would have been an useful skill to develop and keep in pocket. Hindsight sucks.

The scary thing that might be training dummies way wrong-- In the movies and TV, anytime a cop or bad guy has a person held at gunpoint-- Holding a revolver about two feet from the victim's face, they always cock the revolver.

Considering how light the trigger is on a good DA/SA revolver, that is always a scarey scene. But millions of dummies watch that crap on TV and might conclude that's what yer sposed to do. Our less-informed ctizens might actually cock the revolver if they ever hold a bad guy for the popo, or criminals holding a gun on some poor convenience store clerk robbing $50.

Any movie scene where someone has a gun pointed at another person and then having to "rack the slide", whether shotgun or pistol. I have never seen this where a cartridge was ejected. This after firing x amount of ammo leading up to this instance.

That, my friends, ain't right. Edited by Good_Steward

Running toward or away real fast from "The Walking Dead" and making a head shot each and every time? They must have shot IDPA every month but it ain't right.

Using a twenty-five cent cheap cowboy holster for a Colt Python .357 that you have to hold in place to keep it from flopping out when moving, ain't right.

Looking forward to the next episode ain't right.

Watching our little Banty rooster, earlier this year, stand up to and chase off a squirrel that was stealing sunflower seeds from the feed bin and then, seeing a big Tiger Swallowtail butterfly 10 minutes later, squawking in terror and hauling @ss into the hen house.
