Do You Name Your Guns

I call my inanimate objects Charlene. All my vehicles and guns. Kind of like George Foreman naming all his sons George.

Wasn't that Private Pyle's name for his rifle in Full Metal Jacket?

I name all my AR's "Barry". To the point I don't call them AR's. I'll tell my wife to hand me the "Barry pistol" when talking about my 7.5" AR. I think we all know who they're named after. I get joy every time I go to the range knowing he cringes each time I pull the trigger Edited by KKing

My wife has named a number of ours.  Mostly bad puns.   "percy" -- her first purse gun.  Abraham, IMI desert eagle.  It gets worse from there, I will spare you guys.

I have a stainless Ruger M77MKII 308 that started out life as a heavy target rifle. 26 inch barrel, ungodly beavertail forearm on a massive laminate stock. I cut the barrel back to 18 inches with a recessed crown, Hogue overmolded stock and a 3-9x50 Leupold. It is extremely accurate and I cannot see one damn difference in accuracy after lobbing off 8 inches of heavy barrel. The weight shifted back and it balances very well now. Not too heavy but not too light.
The Hogue stock is pillar bedded and since it was green, I named the rifle Cyan, after the dragon Cyan Bloodbane.
Yeah, I'm still a dork and I'll die a dork. Only now I carry a Glock so the jocks quit pickin on me. LOL.
