Looks great. I'm having a difficult time staying away from these. Been wanting one in 357 for a while, but keep finding something else to sidetrack me.

Thanks fellas. I can't wait to shoot it. I've only shot 45 Long Colt a few times, and that was with my Uberti 1875 Uberti Revolver Carbine.

That's awesome looking. I hadn't seen those.

I'm supposed to be shown some sort of imported rifle this weekend by a friend. He says it's a revolver style in 22 Magnum. I'm definitely interested in it.

I hope you get one. I am currently seeking an Uberti 1875 Outlaw Revolver. That way, I'll have the 45 Colt cartridge available for the rifle and the revolver. And, you could do the same with the .357/.38

Good luck to ya.

I really love mine! I got my buddy to shoot it and a week later he owned one also. It was even nicer because he said that I could shoot it during deer season on his property. Until this past season he would only let us shoot shotgun or muzzle loader.

Very nice grab!

Besides making fine products it seems their customer service (if ever needed) is stellar! There's some pretty good youtube videos featuring that bad Big Boy.    :)

Sure is purdy. I would probably do whatever caliber I had and shot the most. .357 for me. That way I could do .38 special.

I love my levers. Edited by DAdams

Henry is my daughters first gun 22 lr. She got/ earned it at age 11. I didn't want to get 10/22 due to being semiauto. She loves it. She is now 14.

Something I'd like to confirm, is the reciever actually made of brass? We got a Golden Boy .22LR into the shop the other day and that thing is most ASSUREDLY not brass, the buttplate is for sure but the reciever is not. It has a gouge in the side of it and the metal underneath is gray and I think either cast nickle or steel but then, I'm no expert.

That is a keeper for life. Much better choice for heirloom than a 10/22 IMO.  Distinction counts in kid's eyes.

The receiver under the cover plate is steel, and I would not be surprised if the covers are plated.  If plated, then likely nickel on steel, and brass on surface.

You can order a replacement cover (likely free under warranty... we had one sent to us that way)

I agree. I am just proud that at this age she takes interest. Hopefully she can pass it down to her child. Also it is prettier than 10/22

Thanks everybody. I never thought I would own a Henry Big Boy. I can't seem to put it back into the safe, lol. I find myself carrying it around the house, wiping 'er down, shouldering it, etc. It's as if I was a kid on Christmas morning.  lol
