She really likes the way it feels in her hand at the store, but she doesn't want to buy it as a carry gun if she doesn't like the way it shoots. I don't know anyone that owns one and there aren't any local ranges that have a rental. Any ideas? We're in Chattanooga. Edited by Junkstack

asking here is a good idea, might find someone who has one in the area (I do not unfortunately).

You could also hang out at a pistol range on a busy day (weekend, rainy maybe..) and try to get lucky that way.

Hit the stores that have a range -- some of those will let you test fire used guns before buying them, same as a rental.  Trick is finding someone with a used one in stock --- its fairly popular and a good condition used one will vanish fast.

Dunno what else to say, comes down to finding someone who had it in hand and is willing to let you fire it a couple of times.

If i am in the area, I would let someone try mine out. ( i have a 9mm shield). So far i love mine. Shot both the 40 and the 9mm.

I live in Tullahoma but travel on occasion toward chattanooga. Just now with a new busy schedule, I don't know when I'll get out that ways.

I have one in .40 and you are more than welcome to try it out if you ever make it out to Manchester. After I put the Hogue Jr. grip on it, my wife loves it better, shoots it better and handles the recoil better than all of my guns.
She shoots it so good I have been thinking about selling it. lol

If you are close to knoxville she can try mine. I'm a little torn about it. It is easy to carry but a little big to throw in the pocket. It does feel great in the hand but the felt recoil is a lot more than my 92fs.
