I knew Storm Lake made barrels for 1911s, didn't know they had complete guns. I say had instead of manufactured because a lot of smaller companies (and I mean really small) are launching their own branded 1911s that are manufactured by Armscor or one of the Turkish factories. What is the country of manufacture? As I recall I read last year that there were then 1400 different branded 1911s. Follow the 1911 sites and you will see new brands pop up weekly. I was in Winchester Virginia last year and there is a small shop run by two brothers. They now have their own branded 1911s by Armscor. If Storm Lake is manufacturing their own 1911s I would be interested to know what they run because they do make good barrels.

I asked probably 100 people I know on 1911's and no one ever heard of them. Then found one, a Storm Lake Machine slide matched to a Caspian Frame.

Might want to call Storm Lake Barrels but I still dont see any slides on their website. But even if they dont (or didnt) make the slide, Storm Lake Machine in Monroe, Washington may have but I am sure with the name SLB may be able to tell you one way or the other, Im sure your phone call wont be the first on the subject.

Storm Lake Barrels has no slides on their parts list (That I see) and no one I know has ever seen a slide milled by them.

The 1911 C1 Slide I saw is marked "Storm Lake Machine" in big letters and 1911  C1 (With the spacing) underneath in big letters. The slide has front and rear serrations.

My guess is Storm Lake Machine is the Storm Lake Machine of Monroe, Washington. My other guess is that frame is not a Storm Lake but another manufacturer. But those are only guesses of course. Someone did assemble the gun. The slide is marked 40 SW but the Storm Lake Machine Slide (or whoever assembled it) came with both barrels (10mm and 40 SW), 2 springs, several mags, a pouch and some other things.

The one I saw also had a bushing less reverse recoil spring plug and Novak sights.

Some detailed pictures would help.

If I'm not mistaken Storm Lake sold some complete 1911 uppers for a while

I saw one of the slides. Its marked "Storm Lake Machinery" in large letters. On Storm Lake Barrels website I dont see anything using the name Storm lake machinery. Also right now, dont know if they ever did, but right now I only see barrels, bushings and spacers for 1911's.

Storm Lake Machinery in Monroe, Washington on the other hand seems to be where the other slide was made. But since no pic from the OP, dont know if the slide says Machinery of just Storm Lake.

I think they only made them for a short while if memory serves me correct it was in the late 90's/early 00's.I remember seeing the ads in Front Sight (a magazine for USPSA members)
