PSA has blem 16" premium 5.56 uppers for 279.99 today. These include the FN chrome lined barrel, but no BCG or Charging handle, though PSA's full auto BCG is on sale at $109 as part of the AR15 days of christmas. :)

M4 premium upper (blemished)

BCG

I ordered a set for now b/c I can't seem to decide on/find a 10.5" .300blk barrel for my TGO upper and I don't want to rush the build.

Arfcom store had 300 barrels for as low as 150.00...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

AAC comes with gas tube and low profile gas block. Also I ordered a 9", shortest one on ARFCOM was 14.5".

For those that dont know what to do with their lower :yum:

Still not sure what to do with the upper yet. I'm tempted to order the PSA rifle kit just to have something to work with then worry what to do with the CMT upper later. I'm planning on doing an 80% lower build sometime so it would work out eventually. I think I'm going to end up with 5 ARs by the end of this :/

Nice find. Possibly exactly what I'm looking for. Think it's worth the extra $20 for the barrel upgrade?

Not upgrade, different caliber. And "chrome moly" is not "chrome lined", btw, if you were thinking that was the "upgrade".

Thanks, hadn't noticed that although I was leaning towards a 7.5" barrel anyway.  So, do you you thing one would be disappointed with the quality of parts in this kit?

Good call. Thanks.

Hmm. Think I'll stick with the 5.56.

No idea, bro. Never heard of the outfit, no detailed specs given for critical parts like barrel, bolt, etc.

In general, seems weird to buy AR stuff from outfit in one of the most firearm restrictive states in US, where I'm not sure this kit is even legal for a Californian to possess?

Since the lower is the firearm, perhaps the kit on its own would not be a problem. Who knows with California?

Yeah, maybe okay to possess, dunno.

Seems in Kali, you can only build an AR pistol from 80% lower and it must start as single shot pistol, then be registered, then can be converted to 10 round "fixed" ("bullet button"). Or you can buy a complete single shot AR pistol manufactured in Kali and do same. Probably even more hoops, dunno.

Alpha Shooting Sports makes good stuff. I have a 10.5" 300BLK barrel from them. Good prices, shopped quick. I would not hesitate to buy from them.

I think I'm going to try it out.  This will be a learning project for me and i figure the pistol will mostly be for farting around with.  I can use this build to find out what i like and what I don't.  I have 2 TGO lowers and one upper, I'll save one of each for a quality rifle build after I learn a bit.

Well, ordered. I guess I'll get to see what it's like. If nothing else, it will be good for spare/emergency parts. Little worrying that the invoice number is only in the low thousands though.

They shipped my barrel same day on Friday, though current tracking looks as if it may be lost in California ATM.  (though that is more likely a USPS error)

I bought mine in October of 2012 so things may not be 100% the same but I am more than pleased with Alpha and their products. I wouldn't sweat the order at all.

I did not know this.. That's insane even by Kali standards?

By their standards, that's not even a drop in the crazy bucket.

I do miss Ca sometimes, then I look at my AR and :) .
