PSA just had a deal with LPK with Magpul grip and stock+ buffer tube assy w/buffer and spring + BCG and charging handle for $250

CTR stock, or MOE stock? There's a big difference to me. I own both. The MOE looks cool enough, but I ain't into floppy.

MOE. I have too, and they ain't floppy at all. Very tight, especially compared to the last two generations of army issue crap.

I'm a picky butthead when it comes to that. All my other Magupul stocks have friction locks. You can luck up with the MOE. I haven't tried one on a milspec tube, and all commercial tubes ain't created equal. I have an ATI tube in the parts box. I promise it will make it flop :)

One of the advantages of not accepting change is when I'm finally exposed to something that others have had for half a decade I think it's a friggin leap in engineering. Ya shoulda seen me when I got my iPhone.

Yep. I was tickled to death with the MOE stock until I got the CTR. I didn't even buy it for the friction lock. I bought it for the QD swivels.

If anyone's looking, Midway USA has/had AR Stoner barrels on sale for $104.00

5.56 1 in 9 twist M4 profile 16" Chrome Moly Phosphate.

Picked one up last night for a build I'm helping my brother with. I was happy enough with the last AR Stoner I bought that I figure for just over $100. it should be a good buy. They usually sell for I think $120. so not sure if it counts as a "great" deal or not.

Yep, just walked a buddy through buying parts for a cheapo AR he's wanting built and grabbed one of these barrels. After all parts ordered we got it with MOE furniture, FF rail, low pro gas block and sights for $760 before shipping. I'm building it for him since he doesn't have the tools.

For 109 they have a pistol barrel (1 in 9 by 7"). Gonna grab one of those for doing the pistol first. Still haven't decided for sure on the rifle cal yet.

I may try something like that. It's really hard to beat a Hogue, even on a reach-out rifle.

I checked and Hogue didn't have one like that... already got the UTG on my build list...

As you know, I already have a new Hogue. Order that sucker up so I can fondle it.

Yeah, I thought about picking one of those as well. Cash is a bit tight so I passed. Anyway I need to learn more about pistols before I go around dropping coin on one.

That's pretty much the goal for my brothers build as well. I've got a complete lower floating around that I'll give him, plus a free float carbine length handguard, I'm buying him the barrel, and I'm loaning him my vortex red dot and magnifier combo.

That just leaves the upper, gas block, gas tube, BCG &CH.

Plus I'm going to help him build it... He should have about $300 invested when all is said and done. Of course that's not including any upgrades he may make later.

After typing all that out I have come to the conclusion that I am being hosed.

You got me looking at all the UTG stuff and ran into this how well do you think this will fit the TGO upper. Is there stuff really well made?

I have two UTG rails. They are great for the price. The finish will scratch easier than the more expensive stuff, but if you're careful with your rifle or you just don't care if it gets dinged (like me) then they will suit your rifle just fine.
